Please be aware that these requirements are intended to act as a guideline only and do not limit the discretion of the visa officer in determining individual applications. They are subject to change as we continue in our efforts to provide a more efficient service to our prospective students. You should therefore regularly check for the most recent version which will have the date of implementation at the bottom of this document. The following information outlines the minimum documentation you must submit with your application.
In applying for a Student Visa you must be able to show that:
- You are enrolled on a privately funded course involving at least 15 hours each week.
- You have paid the requisite fees to the college
- You have the academic ability to follow your chosen course.
- You have a level of English language sufficient to do so.
- You have immediate access to at least €7,000, this is for cost of living for a sudent.
- You must have access to an amount of at least €7,000 for each year of your studies.
- You have private medical insurance.
- You can account for any gaps in your educational history.
- Your intention is to return to your country following completion of your studies in Ireland.
