Entry Requirements

To enter the Diploma you must have completed the ABE Certificate (in any programme) or have two GCE A – Level and four GCSEs at Grade C or above or posses a BTEC National award or equivalent NQF level 3. Students with at least two years’ work experience can also apply, even without any of the above qualification.
 

 

 

Assessment

Assessment will be a written examination
One three-hour paper relating to a business scenario provided in the question paper, containing six questions, of which four should be answered. All questions carry equal weighting.

  • Computer Applications in Business and Finance
  • Principles of Programming
  • A choice of either Organizational Behavior or Financial Accounting
     

Diploma 2

  • Computer Networking
  • Systems Analysis and Design
  • Information Systems Project Management
A choice of two from Human Resource Management, Marketing Policy, Planning and Communication, Managerial Accounting or Quantitative
Methods for Business and Management

Careers

Job at this level includes Assistant IT Manager and Assistant Data Manager.

 Diploma holders can also get exemptions from units of many Bachelor’s degree programmes.
